Chain, new Hirasawa

Chain: a film by Jem Cohen: “…Chain’s formidable power rests on the notion that these unlovely incrustations of worldwide anti-regionalism bespeak a fundamentally dehumanizing global economy..” Sounds like a keeper. Thanks Wiggins!
ICE9: New Susumu Hirasawa album: A broken English description of his new work claims: “The first and the last time(?) guitar-featured album in Hirasawa’s style.” Going by the free sample, the guitar is definitely prominent… sounds pretty different from past Hirasawa for sure. Slow pace, less electronic influence… but pretty good. Not much singing, either. But there is chanting (!).
