INTERNATIONAL CHIPTUNE RESISTANCE media

The INTERNATIONAL CHIPTUNE RESISTANCE took place this most recent Saturday (10/22/2005), and was… amazing. Over six hours of blaring Game Boy music from nine different musicians. We had to leave a little early and missed the last two (M-.-N and Bubblyfish), but everyone else was incredible. Random run-on highlights: Bit Shifter played a two song remix mishmash… Hey Kid Nice Robot did a bunch of covers and wore a really weird helmet+mask… Glomag sang in German (does he know German?)… Receptors started the audience stoking a bit… OMAC implemented a Speak & Spell emulator plus some really simple and effective live drums and guitar… David Sugar pretty much blew me right away… and Nullsleep broke out his NES + EEPROMs, plus wicked trusty keyobard… Pretty fantastic stuff all around, really. Exhausting, too. A lot of the live video work involving realtime video game sprite manipulation was really neat, too. Wonder what programs were used for that…

Here are some crappy quality videos and some pictures from the event:

Pictures and videos.
