Video: The Immortality of Man

Video: The Immortality of Man: I just finished work on this short video… You can read the brief premise at the linked page.

Wal-Mart: The High Cost of Low Price overview

Wal-Mart: The High Cost of Low Price: Got the chance to watch this last night. The info. is solid, but as a documentary the presentation is a tad bit weak. There are plenty of valuable nuggets of info. about the company and its doings, in terms of treatment of workers (healthcare, wages, etc.: this gets the most coverage), environmental concerns, exploitation of Chinese workers (wish there was a bit more of this), lack of safety concerns for customers, etc. The coverage was wide. As an actual film, I think it could have performed better… it could have used an extra layer of polish. The fact that it is low budget probably could have been covered up a bit better.

But, definitely worth the watch.

The Future of Food DVD release

The majority of its citizens live in flats in high-rise buildings. In Architecture of Density, Wolf investigates these vibrant city blocks, finding a mesmerizing abstraction in the buildings’ facades.” (Go Buts.)

Paul Slocum: Time-Lapse Homepage

Paul Slocum - time-lapse homepage “m y _ h o m e p a g e”: “The minute-long video was made sequentially, frame-by-frame from beautifully hand crafted HTML and images found on the web, taking a screenshot after each change until I had 1000 frames.” Pretty hilarous. Gotta love the aesthetic.
