CHAOS UNION: Susumu Hirasawa home page: Three new CDs via Hirasawa… One, “Byakkoya-White Tiger Field” is his 10th solo album. The other two CDs feature music by Mandrake, a group effort led by Hirasawa in the 70s. “unreleased materials volume one” and “unreleased materials volume two”: the rare studio and live sound source of them has revived by remastering here! No free samples this time, grrrr.
Adbusters: Design Anarchy: “Equal parts memoir, manifesto, scrapbook and revolutionary design manual, this book is an urgent call for artists, designers, architects and communicators to re-engage with the world, to explore their role in the pollution and future redemption of our mental and physical commons.” 50% off for art/design students… very neat idea.
Video Bomb: YouTube + digg? (Overview.)
Sean Dembrosky: The Homestead: A good acquaintance o’ mine, Sean D. has packed up his bags and ditched suburbia for some simple living in upstate NY. I hope he continues to document his progress in his journal!
Inhabitat: “Light Pollution and the Return of Night”: Photography by David Allee documents the infiltration of light pollution in urban/suburban environments, and other interesting information on light usage around the world is discussed. Check out the creepy nighttime NASA photo.
Impact Lab: Amazing photos of China: These are truly gorgeous. [Thanks BUTS.]
Coolhunting.com: nullsleep chats about 8-bit music: Very nice, brief video featuring Mr. nullsleep talking about 8-bit music creation with the Game Boy.
