Blurp

After months of creative stagnation, I am finally becoming re-energized again and working on a new (I’ll-actually-finish-this-one) film project. It’s nothing too major, but editing has been helping me to get the inspiration going. The project is actually just a short entry for the Stockstock Film Festival.

Other than this, I’m writing an article about ¡Sí, Se Puede! for Student Filmmakers Magazine after being contacted by one of the gracious editors. That, and my rubber band hand from 2005 (that long ago?!) will be playing in NY next week… So, some activity, finally, and the fog is slowly being lifted…

But yea, I’ve been immensely restless this winter and last fall, although the photography kept me pretty active (and still is).

Anyway, this spring will see some serious activity when I head back to Dancing Rabbit. But I’ll leave it at that for now, because I doubt anyone is really reading this anyway. But hopefully there will be reason to keep checking back here in the near future when I get things really going…

¡Sí, Se Puede! @ The Best of the JSF, Oklahoma City

¡Sí, Se Puede! will be playing during The Best of the Journal of Short Film at The Oklahoma City Museum of Art on  Sunday, January 28th.

Neat.

Unfinished Works

Jolly good show at Unfinished Works last night… SSP got a nice reception, and I needed that boost in motivation after seeing other’s work and talking with folks. I’ve been pretty stagnant with the video stuff over the past few months, but I think my energy might be sloowly creeping back.

Anyway, something of interest that I want to point out: Bolivia Movie (temporary title) is a project that was featured, and the concept is very intriguing. Jay of Meerkat Media was very enthusiastic and his ideas for the film were exciting, and definitely ambitious… It’s a doc about making a doc about globalization in Bolivia. Not only am I a fan of movies about making movies, but throwing big issues like globalization into the mix is pretty inspiring. Anyway, just wanted to get that nod out there. Worthwhile stuff!
