How to pass the time

This past week was a pretty good one. Over the weekend, I went to a four day music festival devoted to chiptunes. It totaled about 24 hours of blaring Game Boys, Amigas, Commodore 64s, et al, over the course of four long nights. And it was glorious. I haven’t been to one of these shows since last year’s Blip Festival. Video games were a large part of my youth into my teenage years, but I’ve since stopped playing them. I do still like video game music, however, and I listen to chiptunes quite fondly. That’s one thing that is still sticking with me. So yes. The Blip Festival was intense and great.

Today I took a brian-day and went into NYC early in the morning to do some photography. Street photography, or something like it. This is something else that I like very much. And like chiptune shows, it’s also something I can’t get out there in Missouri, which sometimes frustrates me. Well, it’s not so much frustrating as it is disappointing. But now I have my time to catch up, and I want to get as much photography time in while I still can. I usually like to go in and spend the whole day walking around, until the sun is no longer shining. Thankfully, today was a very good for that.

So that’s how I’ve been passing the time.
