Winter is on

I am back at Dancing Rabbit. It’s strange to come back to a full-blown winter, having left here around the beginning of a mild fall. The land is covered in snow, but the strangely warm temperatures of yesterday and today are quickly melting it all away. There is no green stuff to be found, and the village looks much smaller, as you can see through to other houses, paths, etc., where leafy trees, shrubs, wildflowers, and grass once were.

It’s a strange sensation to be back after having been away for so long. Maybe not that strange, really, but a little bit. Lots of people are out and traveling about, so the community is very quiet.

I’ll be curious to see how this week ahead plays out, and how I will find myself in a new routine, and what that will look like.
