The (apparently) obligatory About page:

I currently live at Dancing Rabbit Ecovillage of northeastern Missouri, an intentional community devoted to ecological sustainability and culture change. I originally visited shortly after graduating from college in the spring of 2006, and then I returned to become a resident in April of 2007. At Dancing Rabbit, we live off-the-grid (using strictly solar and wind power), grow much of our own produce, collect rainwater for drinking, cleaning, and cooking, share three biodiesel-fueled vehicles among 30+ adult members, and ultimately, we try to live as lightly on the earth as possible.

Other than my own practical interests in living sustainably and self-sufficiently, I am interested in sharing information and knowledge about people’s pursuits of this lifestyle, and in July of 2007, I started Dancing Rabbit TV, a video blog about Dancing Rabbit and sustainable living.

In April of 2008, I began my own personal venture into natural building when I started to build my own cob house.

I hope to continue to live as self-sufficiently as possible, and to share some of my experiences about the always-rewarding process on this blog about life on an ecovillage.

Note: Please find all of my cob building related content at my new blog, The Year of Mud: Building a cob house. Thanks! See you there!
